In 2023, the Minneapolis City Council adopted the Climate Equity Plan. This plan aims to move our city towards a carbon-neutral future. We want future generations to have access to clean air and lush green space. We also want them to have safe, comfortable places to live. Eliminating emissions is one large part of the picture. Making sure that everyone in our city can share in the benefits of climate equity work is also important. To do this, we need to reduce emissions as fast as possible, while also helping the people who need it most. This won't happen without broad engagement, collaboration, and resources.
